CONNECT Community Fair

CONNECT: Experience all our community has to offer

Thanks to all who came out to support our inaugural nonprofit fair! Stay tuned for our event in 2017! In the meantime, here are the details from our 2016 event:

KENNEBUNK — Get out Wednesday, Oct. 5, and experience all this community has to offer. Featuring more than 30 nonprofit and service organizations, "CONNECT" is a new fair to be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the South Tower of the Livewell Center, next to Quest. Admission is free and open to the public.

CONNECT is designed to both educate and entertain. Hosted by The Chamber, EVOLVE: Young Professionals Group, and the Livewell Center tenants, the fair will feature the nonprofit businesses and services located within Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Arundel. New and longtime residents can learn more about services offered "in their own backyard," and participate in hands-on activities. Kennebunk Fire & Rescue will have trucks outside the event, for example, and the Education Foundation of the Kennebunks & Arundel will be bringing their robotics from recent competitions. Guests can touch and pet the BlixxHorses, as well as rescue dogs from Lucky Pup. SMHC will offer blood pressure checks, the United Way will feature a reading corner and popcorn, and visitors can help make tug toys for their friends at the Animal Welfare Society.

The Chamber is also planning a scavenger, where visitors can compete for prizes. All guests will be entered to win one of several donated door prizes as well.

For information, call 967-0857 or email events@gokennebunks.com.
