Every day is a vacation in the Kennebunks! Step onto the beach and let the wind carry those worries away. Hit the trail and leave your troubles at the trailhead. Catch our drift? We’re so close yet a world away with beautiful beaches, crashing surf, craggy coastline, picturesque villages with historic homes, scenic vistas and abundant art galleries and museums. The region’s deep connection to the land and sea is evident everywhere you explore. Get out on the water and see the Kennebunks from a different perspective, while spotting seals, whales and other marine life. All that, plus scenic lighthouses and, oh, that Maine salt air you’ll long remember once you’re home.
Are you about to begin planning that special day? Consider the Kennebunks for all the right reasons. The natural beauty of our area is a great place to start. Imagine a photo album filled with dramatic shots of our rocky coastline and sandy beaches.
You can get here from there. Less than two hours from Boston, five hours from New York or just under six from Quebec and Montreal, the Kennebunks and Arundel are a short enough drive away for a long weekend (or longer!). Coming from farther away? You can get here by train (the Amtrak Downeaster stops just a few miles down the road), plane (the Portland Jetport is 30 minutes away, Boston’s Logan Airport is 90 minutes away, as is Manchester Airport in N.H.) and, of course, automobile.
